Workout & Health Apps

Let’s face it staying fit and eating healthy regularly is difficult.  When it comes to gym attendance, Yoga or Cycle classes most of us are

simply “weekend warriors” or “boomerang gym rats ”.  If you’re like me, you might have athletic shortcomings where you’re most likely

not the Lance Armstrong at your Friday afternoon Spin Class.    I can’t say I’m the most competitive, or regiment, therefore I prefer to

avoid embarrassment whenever possible.  Let me ask you, have you ever been to a Pilates Class where your Pelvic Curve exercise was

routinely criticized by the instructor?   Maybe been berated by the military-like commander during Cycle Class for falling behind?  Ever

break your diet plan after one week?      Maybe a bit too self-conscious of your weight?   I think you get the picture and understand why

I turned to Workout & Health Apps.

So, if you find yourself in a similar situation let me recommend a two Fitness & Health Apps that deliver all the direction and motivation

without the embarrassment.

8Fit Workout App

More than just a fitness app – 8Fit also provides nutrition and progress tracking.   This Fitness app is easy to navigate allowing you to

customize your workouts, create meal plans, as well as providing you a detailed nutrition guide that will meet your desired fitness goals.

Workout Plans

8Fit’s workout plans provide a multitude of customized options to match your current fitness level.   Regardless of level, each plan will

challenge you helping you achieve your goals.

Healthy Meals

8Fit offers personalized nutritious plans to help you feel healthy and energized.  The idea is to provide delicious recipes designed by

nutritionists that will lead you to your desired goals.   The Nutritious plans offer simple and satisfying meals that span all the proteins,

fats and carbs.     Let’s face it if you’re dismissing nutrition, you could be missing out on potential results.

Progress Tracking

The good news is that 8Fit recognizes that fitness isn’t a one size-fits-all, and not everyone has the same goal.   Their app allows you to

track your workouts, meals, progress and milestones, while providing daily challenges and tips for that much needed extra motivation.

Noom Fitness & Diet App

Noom says they are “a unique curricula for unique conditions across the acuity spectrum”.  Pretty fancy language for a bad ass high tech

Fit & Nutrition App.    Like most Fitness & Health apps Noom does not believe in a one-size-fits-all solution.

Noom’s App also places a huge emphasis on diet behavior.  It focuses on making realistic, sustainable lifestyle shifts rather than encouraging

more extreme styles of eating.  The app allows you to log exercise, weight, blood pressure and blood sugar, as well as track the foods you eat

via an extensive database.

Tech

Noom’s technology is fantastic.   Regardless of the device you’re using (Fitbit to track distance, One Drop Chrome to measure blood sugar or an

Omron to monitor blood pressure), Noom’s app is compatible.   Noom’s mobile application is capable of gathering data from a multitude of

medical devices, therefore no one is required to make a switch.

Weight Loss

We know that establishing new healthy habits leads to lasting benefits and well-being for life.   Simply put this is Noom’s core focus, as they are

about having their clients make long term changes to achieve their weight-loss goals.   Their weight-loss app and personalized meal-planning service

is very popular, especially among millennials, with more than 40 Million users.

The Guarantee

Another benefit of Noom is their 100% Satisfaction Guarantee.   They believe that a program should be judged by how well it works…as do we all.

Both apps are fantastic, you can’t go wrong with either.  Honestly, they’re perfect for someone like myself that prefers personal space (and time) to

improve physical appearance.  With the added value of an “app nutritionist” encouraging me to eat real, whole, healthy foods, ultimately making me

look and feel better!
